WHS Food Pantry

Food Pantry is OPEN

🌟 Powered by WHS Students -  OPEN for our Northshore community 🌟

Ariel Asier is our "WHS PTSA superhero" as a Special Education teacher at Woodinville High School who founded the food pantry in 2023 with an initial grant from WHS PTSA to get shelving and stock initial food supplies. WHS Special Education and peer tutor students run a school-based food pantry as part of hands-on vocational training that provides both life skills for students and critical resources for students and Northshore families in need.

Why This Matters

💚 For Our Students:

  • FSA students (those needing lifelong supports) learn math, problem-solving, and workforce skills by stocking shelves, bagging groceries, filling orders, and tracking inventory.

  • Mid-Level students (those needing specialized support) practice budgeting, cooking, and independent living skills through real-world food pantry operations.

💚 For Our Community:

  • We provide food and toiletries for families experiencing food insecurity.

  • We stock snack and lunch items to discreetly support students who may be embarrassed to seek help.

  • Our pantry is open to all Northshore families, not just WHS.

  • Stop by the WHS office during school hours to request food, no questions asked!

  • Can't make it in?  Contact Ariel Asier at aasier@nsd.org to request food delivery.
